Transfer Tooling
Transfer Tooling Capabilities
MET Plastics has the capability and experience to efficiently handle your tooling transfer projects. We’ve successfully managed tooling transfer programs ranging from one mold to 50 molds. Our in-house toolroom can quickly analyze your tooling and complete any required maintenance or repairs prior to sampling. Our molding personnel are trained for flexibility, with the ability to process less-than-optimal molds. Throughout the tooling transfer process, we keep you posted with regular status updates, starting with a tooling diagnostics report that provides you with a snapshot of your tooling condition. We provide weekly status reports that keep you informed of our progress as we complete tooling repairs, sampling, and part inspection.
We realize that tooling transfer programs can be costly and try to keep your costs to a minimum when completing a transfer program. Our goal is to get you up and running as quickly as possible, with minimum cost impact. That’s why, in most cases, we don’t charge for initial tooling review/maintenance (excluding repairs), sampling, and first article inspection costs.
